Cryptocurrency’s biggest winners and losers in 2014

Cryptocurrency returns can be skewed due to the fact that the industry’s so young. And yet, it’s helpful to visualize where we’re at during key points in the year. Since 2014 is halfway over, I thought I’d take a look at the biggest winners and losers year-to-date (YTD). For this study, I just looked at the Top 10 cryptocurrencies based on market cap. The winners? Darkcoin, which is up 3,640%, and Blackcoin, which is up 1,072%. I threw together a chart (below) that shows the year’s biggest losers to date:

    Interesting.. of course I invested in Litecoin, Peercoin, and Ripple at the beginning of the year x_x haha. I still think they all have potential but you just never know in this space.
